The iec 62196 standard (European Electrotechnical Commission's conductive charging interface standard for electric vehicles) has a variety of EV charging systems, which clearly specifies various plug, type 2 EV charging socket, and connector products used in the household, EVSE and EV end entrance. IEC 62196-2:2016 applies to plugs, socket-outlets, vehicle connectors, and vehicle inlets with pins and contact-tubes of standardized configurations, herein referred to as accessories.
