It is a hottest day in this year,in Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn,there locate Pizzeria with a Italian, Korean stores.On this street ,you can see different black and white, this film focus on little things that happen between black in their life.Such as DJ acted by Samuel Jackson,his job is seeing the view of season and taking nonsense,then an old who is called Mayor wake up slowly in the noise from radio.And the argument among three white. Spike lee shows us conflict between black and white at that moment in America,and from it we see a lot problems at that moment.

This scene presents Mother Sister sitting on the steps,her neighborhood is doing up her mother's hair,and mother look at people who pass by,then she see Mayor who loves her and say something to him.

Shot 1: 30seconds

Shot type:This shot uses medium shot throughout whole shot to show characters sitting on steps ,and we can see all the movements of two characters in this shot.

Camera movement:There is no particular camera movement in this section .

Camera angle:The camera angle is at eye level to show characters whole body,and viewers can use a horizontal view to watch whole things happen between two characters.

Lighting :There use a low key light ,and a soft key light give viewers a sort of stable feeling,it is a daily life of them.

Sound:In this shot,the sound mostly just a background music,you can easily recognize that the music is played by saxophone ,and the music with simple tempo.Let us think about this how easy the life is.

color:The color here is a little bit dark and neutral,from the screen you also see red color in this shot,maybe not this shot,the whole movie's color is with red to show us this day is very hot.The color is not too important in this shot.

Character movement:Mother Sister is sitting in front of the girl,then the girl take off her babushka,after that she start to do up Mother Sister's hair .these movements is telling us a new day begin.And none of them what would happen in this day.

Camera movement:There is no camera movement at the beginning of this shot until characters look up at sun,the camera pan right ,it follows the eye line of characters.Then camera zoom out led to medium shot appears.

Camera angle:when the camera shoot Mother Sister ,the camera angle is low angle,it is the view from Mayor.when the camera shoot Mayor,the camera angle becomes high angle,this time it is the view from Mother sister.Camera becomes the eyes for two characters to see each other.Then at the end of this shot ,the camera angle changes from over the shoulder to high angle.

Lighting:The lighting is different from shot 1,shot 1 mostly is low key light,but this shot soft light becomes the main light,and the light comes from the left hand side of characters.

Color:Combine with shot 1 ,shot 2 is more bright ,you can see from characters left hand side in picture2 is more bright than right hand side,may be the director wants to tell us the day is starting though using bright color.Till a little bit red in this shot.

Dialogue:From the dialogue between Mayor and Mother Sister,you would know that Mayor likes her,and Mother Sister has a bad memory about her host and ex-husband.Here you will expect that some romance would happen between them.

Camera movement:The camera start to pan right from first newspaper,and continue moving to right till last newspaper,then stop suddenly.Let us focus on the title of the news.

Camera angle:It is a over the shoulder angle through whole shot.

Sound:The background music changes to a new one which is with happy tempo and still simple,it seems that it will be happy day for everyone,though the temperature is high.In this shot no sound effect appears.
