Firstly I choose the movie<Memento>because I like the Relationships between the Characters of this movie, It is so clever and Ingenious. Another reason is that this movie is not like other general movies, The order is really strange, it devided into two parts, the black and white part is in a nomal order followed the timeline but the colored part is in a back order and at the end of this movie the two parts coincide, it makes me fell so refearshing.
Then I choose the very beginning part from 00:00:45 to 00:02:33. The reason why I choose this part is couse I would like to see the begging of every movie, When I see the begging of a movie I will guess what will be happened next, what is the story this film talks about and what the hell the director want to tell us , is this movie so boring or funny. I am confused about this questions but it is also really exceting to guess the answers and you can get the answers after you see the whole movie. I will fell more funny and meaningful to see a film with these questions.
In this film <MEMENTO>, the very begging part looks like a little boring couse the director used a long shot for a man’s hand holding a photo which has lots of blood in and it likes a horror film scene and this lasted for about 75 seconds.

Shot type
Close-up: It used close-up shot couse this kind of shot type is the best one to show the details. The director want to show us the color-changed of the picture that in lenny’s hand.
Color: when you see this film Complete, you can find that the colored part is in a back order. So this part is the process that ths picture recorded on the photot. And the color became more and more transparent also means that maybe he has come condition about the memory or there are something wrong with his memory because we know that he took the photots to help him remember things.
Sound: The sound that used in the beginning is just like some other music in some ‘Legend Movie’ or ‘Hero Movie’. It makes the movie more mystery. Because lenny was the hero in this film.
Dialogue: Nothing.
If you look carefully you will find the color shift in next few images.

And form these 3 pictures we can find that the photo becomes blank.
Next part is about he killed a man.
The details show us that he killed a people just now.
And I got interested in the question why he killed that guy.
That two pictures tell us that he took the photos by himself.
The second part of this scene is talking about the short process that he killed a man.

Shot type: close-up
Most used shot type in this part is also the close-up cause the director want us to see the details too. It is really good to use details to telling a story. That is the magic and special point of this movie.
Color: it is also the colored part, and there is a short camera lens to show it is in a back order.
The blood flows back in this scene. It is must be very strange but in this movie is very normal cause the colored part of this movie is in a back order and this scene in the beginning part indicate it very smart. Then the gun fly back to his hand and the bullet back into his gun can be explaned very reasonable.
Sound effect: The sound of shotting and take pictures and the sound of bullet fell on the ground.And also the background music.
Dialogue: Only one word ‘No!’ from the guy who killed by lenny.
The director likes to use details to show the background of this story instead using dialogues cause it will give audience a stronger impression than using a dialogue and also makes the film moremystery and full of curiosity. In most films, the beginning is using a dialogue to introduce the background of the story and using a long shots to show the settings where the story happened. This film is using a unusual way to shot and it lets me fell so refreshing. And It is much better to use details to give us the clues of the time line or the story.
