Zoe's movie review on A LOT LIKE LOVE

**Posted by hongzi at 1:42 AM

OMG...this is a super super sweet and beautiful movie. it's all about the "feeling".
it is my second time watching it and i was still like laughing out of chairs and crying with it(it's funny and sometime so emotional).

the movie started from the past, 7 year ago,new graduate oliver met a punk girl Emily in the air port.from my understanding he's curious about her because at the time he was totally different person(actually such a nerdy)from her personality. Emily was mad with her boyfriend,so she might be crazy or something, Emily and this totally stranger guy oliver, they made out in the toilet on the plane...that's the starting of their story. everyone would think like me,"oh, that's just another typical irresponsible teenager lover", but we'r all wrong. according to Emily's tag" don't ruin it" they didn't do what we think in that stage, they left eachother, and continue with their own lives with little known about each other. the memory is perfect, because they rarely knew each other and the atmosphere of the first time was fascinating.

then the movie continues on 3 years later, they met again.at this time, they were very close to be together, but they kind like vanished from each other's life after the great time they had together in the new year's party.the relationship between them at this stage is very hard to define as they help eachother out from the depression, they like eachother ,but they just don't look like ready to be together.

2 years later, oliver broke up with his girl friend. he crossed over with Emily again. this time is when the extreme romantic" moon shoot" taken place. that is my favorite scene. i barely can think of any other romance scene compete with that one.it feels like the sweetener to the air.that particular night, that particular moon light, that particular desert(though hilariously found out it's national park later on). they still didn't get together.

1 year later, oliver came up to Emily to propose, unluckily, she 's engaged already.though she sent him off at her apartment gate, we could still see the reluctance they had in their eyes.

6 month later, Emily broke up with her fiancé, she decided to go and tell oliver, but it seems it's too late...

well, i might probably stop here, though so far we still haven't seen what we expect to see, but tell u what, it's really a happy ending. i was eventually breathing out.A LOT LIKE LOVE is a story goes through 7 years time, love between Emily and oliver 's growing stronger and more certain as they experience more from their own adult lives. life is tough, but when u have someone deep in your mind, and u know she/he will be waiting until you get "all the ducks in a row", you have nothing to fear.

A LOT LIKE LOVE is a movie about feeling ,about destiny, about true love though it's actually unreal in our lives since one can hardly keep their love towards another one for so many years without being together.so i guess it's why the movie makes us so overwhelmed.

Amada Peet, Ashton Kutcher, directed by Nigel Cole. a movie u just can't miss if you got a perfect world that"can't be ruined" as well: )
