It’s the part Natalie get anger, in the whole movie, Natalie always be nice to Lenny, stay with Lenny, help him finding the killer and support him all the way. But in this part, what Natalie do tells us what she really want. At the time Lenny first meet Natalie, tell her about his condition, Natalie want to try if it’s real, tell Lenny spit in a cup and drink it, that’s shows Natalie is not a tradition good person. In this scene, Natalie piss Lenny off and made him hit on her face, in order to carry out her plan.

In this part Lenny also tell us he just tool in someone’s mind. As Natalie said: ”I can say your wife a fucking whore and we still be friends.” That’s means any one smart person can use Lenny’s motivation to do something illegal, maybe Jimmy is the same as Natalie.

In this scene, director cut camera shots between actor and actress, in this way, audiences can catch their expression clearly, Natalie shows her rage straightforward, and we also can see how poor is Lenny, because of his disease, he doesn’t know what’s going on, at begin, he open his lgnorant eyes and try to find out what’s the matter, but the smart Natalie already deal with it beforehand, then Lenny fall to remember what he shouldn’t forget. In another hand, Lenny love his wife so much, try his best to protect his wife’s dignity, but he will forget how Natalie treat to his wife minutes later any way, all his exertion will disappear immediately.

At last, Lenny can not control himself, beat Natalie’s face badly. Natalie fall down on the ground, and her stop humiliate Lenny’s lover, because Natalie already got her purpose, and get ready for next step, in her eyes, Lenny is a tool which can be control, what Natalie do is do the right thing.

From this scene, we know Lenny just a piece in Natalie’s eyes, a tool that can be discarded any time. How about others look at Lenny, are they truly help Lenny or look at him as a piece, too. And we begin to ask ourselves: Is Jimmy really a good cop? Or is Jimmy a cop?
